Terror is not what someone did to me. It is what I did to myself. It is what my heart, my brain, allowed to happen. Day after day, my wall would be dismantled. Simply because I could not build it or make it stay. No one was there to see it disappear. Piece by piece it was carried away farther and farther into the distance I went. Colder, Darker, Quieter. It soon was only thoughts that lead me further into the cave. I went so far into the cave that I could never come out. No one sought to retrieve the body. There were no sign that the body had ever left. No physical signs of any sort of torture. It was all in one place that could not be seen.
